Admiral McCaion's idiot son had a blood clot removed from above his eye at the Mayo Clinic, on our bill today.

Sadly, Mayo is 99% sure he came out of anesthetic just as functional as he ever was.

That sonofabitch was no replacement for Goldwater on his best day.

Mayo refuses to play Medicare.
Evidently Mayo found a way to opt out.

Bud had some stents installed at Mayo, he paid them directly, and got checks from Medicare and his insurance carrier.

Evidently Mayo found a way to opt out when BamaCare came along.
Supposedly Mayo's rates are 15 to 20% higher than reimbursements.

Another trick old farts gotta remember when they get admitted to a damn hospital is to make sure the clerk checks "admitted for treatment".
If you get "admitted for observation" Medioscrew don't pay shit toward the stay.

It's past the point where a book needs to be carried listing what you're covered for and what you ain't, even if the billing clerk don't push the wrong button.

Gawdamn clever carrier I got sends out a list of participating doctors every year, and my eye doc is clearly on that list.  Call for an appointment and the office tells me the carrier won't link them up to the computer, so I gotta pay and good luck getting money back from the carrier.

That would be defined as FRAUD, but in NY Insurance Carriers can't commit fraud by law.

Carrier wants me to "visit the damn eyeglass measurer" because it's cheaper.  It's also 30 damn miles across town.

The carrier also WON'T communicate by email.  Gee, could that be because they got people on phones from India reading bullshit off the screen to exasperate me enough to give up and pay for something I already bought insurance for?

I expect to hear commercials soon for Fred the Hospital Admission Lawyer, probably posters on the ambulance ceiling too.   Headed for the hospital, call Fred so you don't take it up the ass.

McCain’s Surgery May Be More Serious Than Thought, Experts Say
JULY 16, 2017

The condition for which Senator John McCain had surgery on Friday may be more serious than initial descriptions have implied, and it may delay his return to Washington by at least a week or two, medical experts said on Sunday.

The Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, has already announced that votes on a bill to dismantle the Affordable Care Act will not begin until Mr. McCain’s return. A statement released by Mr. McCain’s office on Saturday had suggested that he would be in Arizona recovering for just this week, but neurosurgeons interviewed said the typical recovery period could be longer.

The statement from Mr. McCain’s office said a two-inch blood clot was removed from “above his left eye” during a “minimally invasive craniotomy with an eyebrow incision” at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, “following a routine annual physical.” Surgeons there are not conducting interviews. Mr. McCain’s communications director, Julie Tarallo, said further information would be made public when it became available.

I despize that slimey son of a bitch with every fiber of my being, but I'll not wish upon him what I think is eating his brain.

Were there an iota of class within him he would resign and retire forthwith.  Bet on him staying and attempting to outblather Nancy PeeLousey and Louise Slaughterhouse.

None of the 3 mentioned are worthy of the seats they occupy.
